John Douglas âJDâ Johnson
Age 71, of Canton, passed away Friday April 21, 2017 in Aultman Hospital. Doug was born December 30, 1945 in Canton. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a life resident of the Canton area. Doug retired from Stark Metropolitan Housing in 2007 after 24 years of service and was formerly employed by Dyneer Corporation for 12 years. He was a member of Indian Run Christian Church and was an avid golfer and hunter. Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ruth Ann (Bissell) Johnson; his son, Brian D. Johnson in 2010; one sister, Darlene Harper. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma J. (Werner) Johnson to whom he was married 451/2 years; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Connie Johnson; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Bob Swinehart, Kathy and John Secrest Jr., Debbie and Mark Stark; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 11:00am in Indian Run Christian Church, 8368 Hill Church St SE, East Canton, OH 44730 with Pastor Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, Canton and one hour before services on Wednesday at the church (10-11am).
