John Jay Deemer, age 65 of Canton died unexpectedly Sunday February 6, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton, OH. on March 11, 1939 to the late Carl T. and Anna Mary (Reisling) Deemer. He was a life resident of the Canton area and an Army veteran.Retired from Glaziers Local #1162 with 40 years of service. Preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis, Terryand Jerry Deemer; one sister, Karen Hardie. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Daun M. (Ries) Deemer; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Wendy Deemer of Sherrodsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Jeb Works of Stow, Tina and Bill Tankesly of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren; three sisters and brother-in-law, Carole and Bill Preston, Sharon Pahlau and Robin Lender all of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Private family funeral services will be on Wednesday in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Michael Oyler officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, there will be no other services. The Family requests no flowers.
