Joanne L. McConnell
Age 71, of Canton died Friday, August 7, 2009 in the Arbors of Canton following a brief illness. Born April 15, 1938 in Carrollton, OH. to the late Earl and Gladys (Wilkens) Toalston. She was a Canton area resident most of her life having also resided in Las Vegas, NV. for 11 years. Joanne was a real estate agent for 29 years having owned and operated McConnell Real Estate for 17 years. She retired in 1993 where she was employed with Cutler Real Estate. Preceded in death by one son, Thomas Kent McConnell. Survived by her husband, Thomas P. McConnell to whom she would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on September 22, 2009; one granddaughter, Erika Ann McConnell of Columbus; one great grandson, Jakob Kent Dunn of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Beverly Schisler of Canton. In honor of Joannes wishes, there will be no services and she will be cremated. Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
