Joan S. Milder, age 70, of East Canton, died Tuesday August 9, 2005, in her home following an extended illness. Born in Bernard, Iowa, to the late William and Sara (Potter) Moore. An East Canton resident for the past 8 years, prior to which she had resided in Maquoketa, IA most of her life. She attended Living Hope Church and served as a nurse's aid for many years. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters and two infant brothers. She is survived by her husband, Willard A. Milder to whom she was married 48 years. Two daughters and a sons-in-law, Carmen Borror of Newland, NC, Brenda and Jan Figi of Westgate, IA; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Nancy Milder of Louisville, Terry and Cecilia Milder of Salt Lake City, UT; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; 4 sisters, Gertrude Auguston of Waterloo, IA, Nellie Chase, Faye Hammer and Camilla Clark all of Maquoketa, IA. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour before services on Friday (12:00-1:00pm) in the funeral home.
