Jo Anne (Dennis) Sheffer
Age 83, was born September 5, 1930, the only child of the late Clifford V. and Hester (Arkle) Dennis. She was a graduate of McKinley High School where she had studied college courses, but was unable to attend college. She was employed by The Timken Roller Bearing Company for six years, through which she was able to attend Business College. She began a family with her husband, Dwight W. Sheffer whom she married February 11, 1950. Jo Anne was employed by the Stark County Board of Education and later joined her husband with Pike Mutual Insurance. She truly enjoyed reading and writing. Jo Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight W. Sheffer in 2007; one daughter, Linda Kay (Sheffer) McDonald. She is survived by two sons, Brent (Hillary) Sheffer of Columbus, Scott (Beth) Sheffer of Redmond, WA; two grandsons whom she loved very much, Graham Dennis Sheffer and Duncan Clark Sheffer; two nieces, Lisa Arnold and Susan McDevitt both of North Canton; a dear friend, Irene Warnock who served as Jo Anne's angel throughout much of her life. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 11, 2014 at 11:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Bruce Mont officiating. A private interment will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville.
