Jesse Allen Felty
Age 80, of Waynesburg, OH passed away Saturday April 30, 2016 at 10:58pm under the amazing care of Canterbury Villa of Alliance. He was born November 20, 1935 in Rush, KY to the late Grace Felty and Allen Caldwell. He was raised by his late step-father, Carl Felty. He is also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Jesse is survived by his wife, Hazel (Pennington) Felty to whom he was married 59 years; one son, Gary (Kathy) Felty; two daughters, Shirl (Cliff) Dillow and Rita (Todd) Gibbs; five grandchildren, Alan Beers, Ashley and Sarah Beach, Jesse (Juliana) Pennington and Jennifer Felty; one sister, Sandra Rice; sister-in-law, Shirley Pennington; extended family at Canterbury Villa and many friends and family. Jesse was a hardworking man who loved Jesus and his family. He retired from the Hoover Company in 2001 and was the former owner/operator of Felty’s Auto Body and Welding. He was a member of Canton First Church of the Nazarene, an amateur ham radio operator and had a passion for flying and enjoyed his membership in the Taylorcraft Flying Club in Sebring. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 4, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Dan Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
