Jerry R. Thomas
Jerry R. Thomas, age 65, of Louisville, OH, passed away Friday September 5, 2008 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. He was born March 22, 1943 in Canton to the late David W. and Kathlyn E. (Swank) Thomas. Jerry was a life resident of the Canton area and retired from Union Metal Corporation in 2008 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2374 and enjoyed racing at the Magnolia Drag Strip. Jerry was an avid bowler and achieved a 300 game. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son. He is survived by his wife, Linda C. (Abrigg) to whom he was married 15 years; one son, Dr. Jerry R. Thomas II of Washington, DC; two step-daughters and their spouses, Julie and Dieter Hicks of Bolivar, Kathy and Jim Bradfield of Canton South; six grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Shane, Faith, Joshua and Noah; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jim Bardine of Urbana, OH; one brother and sister-in-law, David W. Jr. and Gladys Thomas of Waldorf, Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday September 8, 2008 at 1:30pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Patricia Hostetler officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
