James J. Yohe
James J. Yohe, age 87, of Louisville, passed away Sunday November 9, 2008 in Oakhill Manor Care Center following an extended illness. He was born February 13, 1921 in Louisville, OH. to the late Hiram and Minnie (Shearer) Yohe. James was a life resident of the Louisville and East Canton areas and a 1938 graduate of Louisville High School. He was a WWII Army Veteran where he served with the 1256th Combat Engineers. He retired from St. Regis Paper in 1986 after 39 years of service. He was a member of Christ Memorial Church, Robertsville, and American Legion Post #44. James was an avid bowler for many years with various church leagues, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting and trapping. He was truly an East Canton sports fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Dale Yohe; one sister, Alma Sommer. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. (Masters) to whom he was married 55 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Ken Flanagan of East Canton; one son, Jack Yohe and Kathy McArdle of Bucyrus, OH; three grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Krista Flanagan. Funeral services will be Friday November 14, 2008 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Jeffrey Lord and Gene Carter officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East Canton Athletic Booster Club at 301 Browning St., East Canton, OH 44730.
