James A. Wriston Sr.

Age 77, of Minerva passed away unexpectedly Wednesday July 14, 2021, in Aultman Hospital. He was born September 25, 1943, in Charleston, WV to the late Troy and Olive (Webb) Wriston. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. James was a Minerva area resident since 1978 and a member of the former Mapleton United Methodist Church. He retired from the Timken Company in 2005 after 33 years of service and was a certified tree farmer. He is preceded in death by his wife, May Wriston in 2005; one son, James A. Wriston Jr. in 2011. James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Donald Davis; two grandchildren, Andrew and Nancy Davis; one sister, Jeannie (Frank) Lokant; one brother, Larry Burgess. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 20, 2021, at 1:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Tuesday (12-1pm).
