James L. Wissmar
Age 67, of Canton died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born April 19, 1946 in Canton, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mary (Hudnell) Wissmar. He was a life resident of the Canton South area and a 1964 graduate of Canton South High School.He was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. James retired from Haines and Company. He was a member of Canton Masonic Lodge #60, F&AM, a former troop committee chairman for the Boy Scouts Troop #240 and was the squadron organizer and locator for HMM-165. Preceded in death by two brothers, William and Rodney Wissmar. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Deloris A. (Ankrom) Wissmar; two sons and daughters-in-law, James A. and Gina Wissmar of North Canton, Chad and Carrie Wissmar of Copley, OH; three grandchildren, Andrew, Danielle and Denver Wissmar; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Catherine Wissmar of West Virginia, Richard and Donna Wissmar of Canton Township; two sisters and brother-in-law, Connie and Jess Elliott of Florida, Sandra Strahl of Carrollton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Pastor Dan Hooley officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm with masonic services at 5:30 pm.
