James A. Wilcox

James A. Wilcox, 88, of Canton South, born February 3, 1936, passed from this earth, Thursday morning January 02, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Son of the late Clarence and Thelma (mother), Flossie (stepmother) where he was one of 11 children. Also preceded in death by his wife Charlotte N. Wilcox, daughter Terri Jo, daughter in law Chrissandra Wilcox. Survived by his children, Debbie Bartman, Jim (Chrissandra), Julie, Todd, Chris (Michelle), Lance (Tara) Wilcox. 13 wonderful grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

James lived his life to the fullest and was a devoted family man where he set an example for his children, grandchildren and the community.

James was very involved with his community where he spent 12 years as a Canton Township Trustee and 27 years in the Canton South Youth Baseball League. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and Marines where he served as a medic.

Family and friends are invited to honor James's life at a visitation on Tuesday January 7th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, a service will then follow at 12:00 pm noon with Pastor Joe Hunt officiating, the burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canton South Youth Baseball League or the Canton South Athletic Booster Club.
