James E. Strait, Sr.
James E. Strait, Sr., age 64, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. He was born January 28, 1944 in Robertsville, Ohio to the late Rev. Harry L. and Hazel (Pritchard) Strait. James was a lifelong resident of the Robertsville and Canton area. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and served as Chairman of the Bluegrass Gospel Sing. James loved the Lord and had many brothers and sisters in Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy (Fisher) Strait; one son, James Strait, Jr.; two daughters, Kelli (Bill) Raabe, Jennifer (J.T.) Wilder; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Carol) Strait, Jack (Linda) Strait; two sisters, Margaret Strait, Kathryn (Don) Clapper; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday July 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Canton with Rev. Stan Kashuba officiating. Interment in Robertsville Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 3-6pm in Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services on Monday (10-11am) at the church.
