James E. Reichard
Age 87, of Canton died Friday, April 3, 2015 unexpectedly in Aultman Hospital. Born August 22, 1927 in Canton, OH. to the late George and Mary Alice (Adley) Reichard. He was a life resident of Canton. James had served in the U.S. Navy and was also a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired in 1980 from Sugardale Provision where he was a truck driver with 32 years of service. James was a member of St. Mary's/ St Benedict Catholic Parish and the Teamsters Local Union #92. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame fan. Preceded in death by one grandson, Eric Christopher Escola. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen E. (Maxin) Reichard; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Eric Escola of Jackson Twp., Reyne and Ron Archibald of Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren and spouses, Erik and Jamie Escola, Joshua and Ashley Escola, Breigh and Josh Looman, Keirsten Sekeres; four great grandchildren; two half-brothers and spouse, Wesley Reichard, John and Judy Reichard. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
