James L. Murphy
Age 88, of Canton, passed away Sunday November 13, 2011 in his home following an extended illness. He was born August 23, 1923 in Uniontown, PA. James was a Canton area resident most of his life and a WWII Army veteran. He retired from The Timken Company in 1983 after 30 years of service and had attended Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Ellen Murphy in 2010; two sons, Robert and James Murphy II. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Douglas and Betty Murphy of Canton, Barbara and Ron Doll of Canton, Jeffrey and Chandra Murphy of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Frenz, Steve (Melissa) Murphy, Jesse (Cynthia) Doll, Joshua Doll and his fiance, Nicole Stutzman; five great-grandchildren, Stevie Frenz, Emma, Molly and Mason Murphy and Reese Doll; one sister, Dorothy Faren of Illinois. Funeral services will be Wednesday November 16, 2011 at 1:30pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Friends may call one hour before services on Wednesday (12:30-1:30pm).
