James D. Morgan
James D. Morgan, age 69, of Canton died Monday, April 30, 2007 in Hanover House following an extended illness. Born September 28, 1937 in Canton, OH. to the late William B. and Nina B. (Hurst) Morgan. He was a life resident of the Canton area and retired from the Timken Co. after 42 years of service and had been a bus driver for Canton Local Schools for 27 years. Member of the former Grace Missionary Baptist Church, Canton Preservation Society and CIO-AFL Union. Preceded in death by four brothers, Homer, Wade, Lawrence and Daniel Morgan; six sisters, Ruth and Dorothy Morgan, Maud Boswell, Hazel Busnick, Barbara Boyce and Lenora Gibson. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Dimitrius Ratz of Sacramento, CA; one grandson, Andrey D. Ratz of Sacramento, CA; one brother and sister-in-law, George and June Morgan of Poulsbo, WA; one sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Riley Dedmon of Canton; special niece, Sue Howard of Canton; numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor David Bell officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Canton Preservation Society, 131 Wertz Ave. NW, Canton, OH. 44708
