James E. Foltz
James E. Foltz, age 84, of Canton, passed away Monday September 29, 2008 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born September 28, 1924 in Canton, to the late John C. and Julia L. (Brownsword) Foltz Jr. James was a life resident of Canton Township, a 1942 graduate of Canton Township High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University. He was an Army Air Corps WWII veteran. James served as a self-employed carpenter for 50 years and was an avid gardener. He was a HAM Radio Operator K8SWE, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Sandyville and served for many years as a Volunteer Fireman with Canton Township Station #1. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Cliff Foltz. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie J. (Briese); two daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Jerry Gray of Canal Fulton, Michele and Bill Tucker of Owings, MD; three grandchildren, Robert James Gray, Spencer and Joseph Tucker; one sister, Norma Cooper of N. Industry; numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no services; a private family committal service will be conducted at a later date. The Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
