James R. Church
Age 69, of Canton, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012 in his home following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born April 3, 1943 in Portsmouth, OH to the late James V. and Violet M. (Adams) Church. James was a Canton area resident most of his life and a 1961 graduate of McKinley High School. He was the former owner/operator of J & B Coil Cleaning for 34 years and was a member of North Industry Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey L. Church. He is survived by his wife, Catherine S. (Volk) to whom he was married 39 years; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya and Scott Walent, Amy and Sam Mirto, Jennifer Vodila all of Canton South; one granddaughter, Melanie Walent. The family would like to thank Dr. James Schmotzer, his staff, Aultman Hospital 6th floor and Aultman Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral services were conducted Thursday April 5, 2012 in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Steve Kimbrel officiating. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
