James Bullock
James Bullock, age 84, of Perry Twp. died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Aultman Woodlawn following an extended illness. Born Dec. 7, 1922 in Carroll Co. to the late Edward C. and Jessie (Henderson) Bullock. He was a 1940 graduate of Dellroy High School and had been a Perry Twp. resident most of his life. James was a U.S. Army veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean War. During his service he attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the Purple Heart. Retired from LTV Steel in 1985 with 40 years of service. Member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and John Bullock; one sister, Margeritte Nance. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Velma L. (Stahl) Bullock; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Mary Frances Bullock of Rittman, OH; James and Jean Bullock of Massillon; six grandchildren and spouses, Brian and Jeannine Bullock, Matthew and Wendy Bullock, Melissa Bullock, Bethany and Jeff Stanko, Andrea Bullock and Abby Bullock; two step grandchildren, Steve and Leonard; nine great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Sally Bullock of Zoar; two sisters, Isabelle Baad and Ellen Davidson both of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 am in Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Diana Thompson officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Monday from 6 - 8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3828 Cleveland Ave. S.E., Canton, OH. 44707.
