James A. Brown Sr.
Age 81, of Canton died Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born June 23, 1931 in Canton to the late Glen Sr. and Josephine (Harris) Brown. He was a life resident of Canton and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. James was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1989 with 26 years of service. James will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by three brothers, Glen Jr., Ralph and Ronald Brown; one nephew, George Housos. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy E. (Pollock) Brown; one son and daughter-in-law, James A. Jr and Diana Brown of Ft. Myers, FL; two step-granddaughters; five step-great grandchildren; four step-great-great grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ray and Doris Brown, Michael Henderson all of Canton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Nick Boldi of Massillon, Barbara Housos and Tony Fernandez of Canton; one sister-in-law, Frances "Minnie" Benzel; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Lance Lindenberger and Bill Craddock officiating. Friends may call on hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10-11 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Northwest Church of Christ.
