James A. Belmonte
Age 88, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2015 in St. Joseph Care Center. He was born July 2, 1926 in Kent, OH to the late Louis and Seraphina (Scipony) Belmonti. James was a Louisville resident since 1974 and was a graduate of Kent High School. James was a salesman for Lifetime Cookware and a WWII Navy veteran. He was a Boy Scout Leader, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, loved gardening, cooking and birds. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joan M. (Trares) Wise-Belmonte; two sisters, Fannie Jackson and Jean Long. James is survived by four children, Ralph Belmonte, James Michael Belmonte, Vicki Foster and Gloria Thompson; six step-children, Susan M. and Richard A. Pero, Ann L. and Michael Elmerick, Gene and Patricia Wise, Jane W. Charles Bresson, Thomas L. and Mary Kathi Wise, Philip J. Wise; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Barreiro, Edith Valenti and Clara Dennis. Funeral services will be Saturday May 30, 2015 at 11:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour before services on Saturday 10-11am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Care Center.
