James W. Barton Jr.
Age 69, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Monday April 25, 2016. He was born March 18, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to James W. and Jacqueline (Bler) Barton. He was a 1965 graduate of Canton South High School and was a Vietnam Army veteran. Jim retired from J & L Specialty Steel in 1999 after 30 years of service. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing and his card playing buddies. He is preceded in death by his father, James W. Barton; a brother-in-law, Tom Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Patricia L. (Bennett) to whom he was married 44 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Kasey Crocker; his mother and step-father, Jacqueline and Bill Ridgway; twin sister, Jacklyn Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Shelley and Tom Rex; brother and sister-in-law, Mitch and Desiree Barton; several nieces and nephews who loved Jim’s way of making them feel special. Jim will be dearly missed for his sense of humor, loyalty to his friends and devotion to his family. Friends will be received Saturday 2-5pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home.
