Jacob A. Mullet

Jacob A. Mullet, age 94, passed away on Friday April 4, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 10, 1930, in Trail, Ohio, to Levi J. and Emma (Hershberger) Mullet.

Jacob worked as a machinist for Republic Steel for 41 years until his retirement in 1991. He then owned and operated Jacob A. Mullet Home Improvements for 35 years. Jacob also served as a volunteer fire fighter for Canton Township Station 4 where he served as the assistant chief and later chief.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Constance Ellsworth, Lisa Lara, Kathleen Jackson, Robert (Stacy) Jackson, and Edgar Jackson; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wanda (Reed) Mullet in June 2006; his second wife, Theresa M. (Mick) Mullet in 2024; son, Gregory Mullet; brothers, Nelson Mullet and Edward Mullet; and sisters, Alice McIntyre, Mary A. Dreher, and Lola R. Mullet.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 10th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Jacob will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Minerva on Friday, April 11th.

A "Last Alarm Fire Service" will be held by the Stark County Firefighters Association on Thursday April 10th., at 6:45 p.m. to honor and remember former Fire Chief Mullet for his dedicated service to the Canton Township Fire Department.
