Jack Kossack
Jack Kossack, age 73, of Canton, died Thursday, October 6, 2005 in Bethany Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was born September 12, 1932 in Canton, to the late George and Elsie A. (Tisevich) Kossack. Jack was a 1950 graduate of Timken Vocational High School and was a Korean War Army veteran, where he served in the infantry as a mortar man and the recipient of a bronze star. He retired from Diebold Company in 1986 after 38 years of service, never missing one day of work, and had attended St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jack enjoyed golfing, swimming and bowling and was most proud of his 300 game. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Justine Peffer and one sister-in-law, Sondra Kossack. He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Helen Kossack, Fred Kossack, Thomas and Gloria Kossack all of Canton; one sister, Joyce Shaheen of Canton; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Bethany Nursing Home staff for the excellent care of Jack over the past 4 years and to his special friend, Ted Jacks for his many years of faithful visits. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Fr. Gerald Sommer, MSC as celebrant. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday (tonight) 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bethany Nursing Home at 626 34th St, NW, Canton, OH 44709.
