Young, Irene G.
age 73, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday May 6, 2009 in Acute Care Specialty Hospital following an extended illness. She was born July 6, 1935 in Canton to the late George and Gladys (Bowers) Kereakos. Irene was a 1953 graduate of Canton South High School and a Louisville area resident most of her life. She was a faithful member of the East Canton Church of God where she was active in the Women of the Church of God and instrumental in the sympathy and remembrance program. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Lou Young; an infant twin brother; adopted brother, Andrew Motta. She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Young to whom she was married 54 years; one son, Roger Young of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Sandra Young and her fiancé, Harlan Ferguson Jr. of Perry Township; two grandchildren, Zachary and Katherine; two special canine companions, Olivia and Leena. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 12, 2009 at 11:00am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor Michael Jones and Pastor Mark Hunt officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 5-8pm in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the East Canton Church of God at 201 E. Nassau St., East Canton, OH. 44730.
