Irene Kail
Age 91, formerly of East Sparta, OH, passed away Thursday March 23, 2017 in The Landings of Canton. She was born June 12, 1925 in Carroll County to the late James Ralph and Ida Ola (Smeltz) Orwick. Irene was a Canton area resident most of her life and had resided in Florida for 11 years. She retired from Aultman Hospital in 1989; she continued to serve as a volunteer at the hospital and was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2001. She was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Kail in 1993; one infant son; one brother, John Orwick; daughter-in-law, Mary Kail; one grandson, Stephen Hacker. Irene is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Delbert Kail, Robert and Darlene Kail; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and David Teis, Connie and Rick Hacker, Lori and Gerald Smith; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 4, 2017 at 11:00am in Mt. Zion Community Church with Pastor Bruce McLaughlin and Rick Hacker officiating. Friends will be received one hour before services at the church (10-11am). Burial will be in Harlem Springs Cemetery at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
