Irene R. Dick
Age 88, of East Sparta, passed away Thursday October 25, 2012 in her home following a brief illness. She was born June 20, 1924 in Canton to the late Harry and May (Hendricks) Kalem. Irene was a resident of East Sparta for 60 years and was a member of Sandy Valley Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis V. Dick in 2001; one son, Ellis Leroy Dick; two brothers, George and Paul Kalem; one sister, Rose Walter; and many good friends. She is survived by five children and spouses, David and Diane Dick of Canton, Darlene and Danny Lindsey of Canton, Donald Dick of East Sparta, Dorene Hall of East Sparta, Denny Dick of East Sparta; nine grandchildren, Dave, Dannette, Bryan, Shane, Josh, Jennifer, Sarah, Aaron and Adam; nine great-grandchildren, Simon, Myles, Noah, Andrew, Lilly, Ryan, Jerry, Brent and Jaxson Ellis; two sisters, Esther "Cookie" Felix of Canton, Dorothy Tozzi of Canton; one brother-in-law and five sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 30, 2012 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Clifford Hughes officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services on Tuesday (12-1pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice at 2821 Woodlawn NW., Canton, OH 44708.
