Ira Lee Hemphill

Age 76, of Alliance died Monday, September 10, 2018 in his home following an extended illness. Born September 21, 1941 in Robertsville, Ohio to the late Ira and Ethel (Barnwell) Hemphill. He was an Alliance resident for the past 25 years and was a U.S. Army veteran. He had been employed by the former Monarch Rubber Company. Preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Hemphill; a grandson, Kristopher Lewis; four brothers, Owen, Bernard, Larry and Sonny; two sisters, Vivian and Iris. He is survived by a daughter, Kelleen Rubino; a son, Jeff Hemphill; two stepsons and spouses, Michael and Carol DeGroff, Dustin and Nawal DeGroff; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Walt Vincent; numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, Sept 16, 2018 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm in the family’s home, 11693 Lair Rd NE, Alliance, OH 44601.
