ILA Fern Ferguson
Age 85, of Canton daughter of the late Purl and Nora Garner of Stillwater, OH. went to the Lord, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the home of her son following a brief illness. She was a member of Crossview Worship Center and also attended Sandy Valley Church of God. She supported and served her church faithfully for many years. She lived her life following God's word showing unconditional love, compassion, generosity and concern for all her family and friends. She was our true inspiration of how we should live our lives and she will be missed by her family and many dear lifelong friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Alton J. Ferguson, two infant sons, Larry Gene and Jonathon Wayne Ferguson; two brothers, Russell and Clyde Garner; two sisters, Nellie Devore and Pauline Devore. She is survived by one sister, Helen Lanning of North Carolina; two sons, Bob Ferguson of South Carolina and Joe (Hollie) Ferguson of Canton; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Sandy Valley Church of God with Pastors Clifford Hughes and Joel Donahue officiating. Interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Stillwater, OH. Friends may call Friday (Tonight) from 6-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 am.
