Homer Isner, age 86, of Canton, died Thursday February 22, 2007 in his home following a brief illness. He was born March 26, 1920 in Texas Mountain, WV, to the late James Littlewood and Eliza Pearl (Shafer) Isner. Homer was a Canton area resident since 1948 and retired from the Ford Motor Co. in 1979 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Faith Community Church where he served as Head Usher for many years and had been a Deacon and board member. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Belva M. Isner in 2005; one son, Michael Isner; two brothers, Arbia and Ernest Isner. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Brenda Isner of Westlake, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Herb Groves of Canton, Sandra and Ron Herbert of Canton; one daughter-in-law, Cindy (Lawrence) Isner-Weeks of Virginia; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and two nephews. Funeral services will be Monday February 26, 2007 at 10:30am in Faith Community Church with Rev. Rodney Price and Rev. David Cobb officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday 2-5pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services Monday at the church (9:30-10:30am).
