Henry “Hank” Charley
Age 84, of East Sparta, passed away Thursday December 3, 2015 in Country Lawn. He was born May 16, 1931 in Graysville, WV to the late Samuel J. and Margaret (Hess) Charley. Hank was a Korean War Army veteran and was awarded five bronze stars and a purple heart. He was the former owner/operator of Hank’s Sohio for 22 years. He was a member of North Industry United Methodist Church, the former Canton South Lion’s Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie #3228, Sandy Valley. Hank is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie M. Charley in 2003 and three brothers. He is survived by five children and their spouses, Gary and Shirley Charley, Peggy and Kenneth George, Randy and Cindy Charley, Marla and Norris Stringer, Connie and Erik Klapper; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one brother. Funeral services will be Monday December 7, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Burial will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
