Helen R. Levengood
Helen Rebecca Levengood, age 89, of Louisville died Monday, July 10, 2006 in her home following an extended illness. Born March 19, 1917 in Spring City, TN. to the late John S. and Martha J. (Fisher) McPherson. She was a Louisville resident since 1945 and former owner/operator of Levengood's Service for 26 years. Member of the Canton Baptist Temple since 1953 where she worked in the nursery for 30 years and was active with the Jolly Sixties and the Ambassadors Class. Preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. Survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence "Bud" Levengood; three daughters and son-in-law, Elaine Karen Levengood of Denver, CO, Kay Ann and William Fluharty of Cincinnati, Nancy Jane Levengood of Gainesville, FL; two grandchildren, Meghan and Lyndsay Fluharty; one sister, Joyce Dove of Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral services will be Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:00 am in Canton Baptist Temple with Pastor Mike Frazier and Rev. David Harmon officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 6 - 8 pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice @ 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH. 44708.
