Helen M. Johnston
Age 92, of Canton, passed away Thursday May 19, 2016 in Altercare of Louisville. She was born September 22, 1923 in Canton to the late William and Mary (Fulmer) Negulis. Helen was a 1943 graduate of Canton Township High School and retired from Nationwide Insurance after 32 years of service. She was a member of North Industry United Methodist Church. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Johnston Jr.; two brothers, Paul and Samuel Negulis; two sisters, Georgian Groh and Marie McQuistion. She is survived by two brothers and sister-in-law, John Negulis, Nick and Bonnie Negulis; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Millie Negulis, Sarah Neer, Marty and Gene Miller; sister-in-law, Sharon Throckmorton; a special friend, Pat Weiss; several nieces, nephews and extended family; two step-daughters, Jackie Currence and Jody Mullins; two step-sons, Jeff and Jesse Johnston; step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday May 28, 2016 at 2:00pm in North Industry United Methodist Church at 155 Faircrest St. SW, Canton, OH 44706 with Pastor Jeri Johnson officiating. Friends will be received one hour before services (1-2pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to North Industry United Methodist Church.
