Helen V. John
Age 87, of East Canton, passed away Wednesday May 9, 2012 in Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center, Louisville. She was born November 2, 1924 in Louisville to the late Russell and Grace (Johnson) Linerode. Helen was an East Canton resident for the past 67 years. Helen spent most of her life caring for her family, friends and neighbors, many times putting their needs before her own. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rogell John in 1994; one grandson, Jeffrey John; one great-grandson; one brother, Dale Linerode; one sister, Barbara Freshley. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gene and Bobbi John of N. Canton, Timothy John of East Canton; six grandchildren, Timothy II, Eric, Stacey, Jason, Kristina and Bobbi Jo; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; six brothers, Richard, Paul, Ron, Jerry, Jim and Gary Linerode; two sisters, Marge Hunt and Carolyn Bugno. Funeral services will be Saturday May 12, 2012 at 11:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Louisville. Friends may call one hour before services on Saturday (10-11am). In keeping with Helen's charitable spirit, the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
