Helen M. Franklin
Age 78, of Canton, passed away Tuesday September 10, 2013 in her home. She was born August 11, 1935 in Canton to the late Charles S. and Milda (Yarian) Elliott. Helen was a 1953 graduate of Canton South High School and a life resident of the Canton South area. She retired from Ohio Power in 2004 after 16 years of service and was formerly employed by Superior Provisions for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin, Gerald and Gordon Elliott; one sister, Eileen Holcomb. She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Franklin to whom she was married 59 years; three children and their spouses, Deborah and John Patton of Massillon, Dr. Donald and Dawn Franklin of Painesville, OH, Connie and Dr. Scott Haack of Chardon, OH; four grandchildren, John (Lauren), Jason (Sarah), Megan Patton & fiancé, Nick Stygles and McKenna Haack; one great-grandson, Eli Patton; one brother, Charles Elliott; a special niece, Shari Brinkman. Funeral services will Saturday September 14, 2013 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Wayne Cummings officiating.
