Helen C. Denkhaus
Age 86, of Canton died Saturday, October 21, 2017 in The Lodge at New Dawn. Born December 22, 1930 in Bloomville, Ohio to the late Darrel and Bertha (Biller) Heckerd. She was a Canton resident for the past 70 years and retired from Coen Oil. Helen was an avid animal lover. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. “Denk” Denkhaus in 2017; one sister and three brothers. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Courtney, Nancy and Nick Vona, Jane and Mark Eclem; three grandchildren, Steve Courtney, Julie Vona, Jason (Emily) Vona; one great grandson, Carson Vona; several of her fur babies. A private memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their wonderful care given to Helen. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice Program or the Stark County Humane Society.
