Helen E. Criswell
Age 92, of Canton and more recently of St. Joseph Care Center died Monday, January 21, 2013 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born August 14, 1920 in Canton, OH. to the late Joseph and Mary (Salamon) Wojtaszek. She was a life resident of Canton and formerly employed by the Timken Company. Helen was a life member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish where she was a choir member and past president of the Altar Rosary Society. She entertained with the Melody Makers for 16 years, was an avid bowler, 40 year member of WIBC and enjoyed all sports. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. "Sonny" Criswell in 2007; two brothers, Stanley and Anthony Wojtaszek; one sister, Sophie Wojtaszek. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kris Criswell of East Sparta; one grandson, Adam Criswell of East Sparta; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy Criswell of Canton, Rose and Dennis Quinn of Canton; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Bishop as Celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday (Tonight) from 5-7 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
