Helen (Henrich) Cook

Age 96, of Canton, passed away Tuesday September 29, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1919 in Massillon to the late Albert and Myrtle (DeLitte) Henrich. She was a Canton resident for the past five years, prior to which she had resided in the Cleveland area. Helen was a graduate of Massillon Washington High School and Ohio University. She retired from Univac after more than 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Cook in 1998; one brother, John Henrich; four sisters, Alberta Guilliouma, Edna Elizabeth, Marjorie and Janet Henrich; two nephews, Harvey and John Guilliouma. Helen is survived by two nieces, Gloria and Tom Kossack of Canton South and Judy and Ted Neininger of New Philadelphia; niece-in-law, Elizabeth Guilliouma of Canton South; one step-daughter, Luella Heinzelmann; two step-grandchildren and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday October 2, 2015 at 10:00am in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. G. David Weikart as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour before services at the church (9-10am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. The family would like to thank Brookdale and Allay Care Centers and Mercy Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
