Hazel Grace Himes, age 98, of Canton, died Wednesday January 24, 2007 in Aultman Hospital. She was born March 8, 1908 in Stone Creek, OH, to the late William Henry and Bertha (Kipfer) May. Hazel was a life resident of the Canton area and a faithful member of Grace Brethren Church, N. Canton, for 68 years. She was active at the church with the Helping Hands, WMC, 60 Plus Club and had been a Sunday School Teacher. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Himes in 1974; two sisters, Florence Hopkins and Mary Smith; four brothers, Roy, Ralph, Glenn and Harold May. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Vivian Himes of East Canton, Richard and Sylvia Himes of Luxemburg, WI; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ruth and Harry Reed of East Canton, Carol Himes of Canton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Debbie and Dave Bruce, Tom and Jill Himes, Heather and Doug Ramsay, Heidi Himes; five great grandchildren, Brian and Tim Bruce, Noah and Zoe Zimmer, Yuri Himes; one sister, Ruth Lippert; three brothers, Herm, Raymond and Earl May; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday January 27, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Joseph M. Cosentino officiating.
