Harry W. Reed
Age 91, of East Canton, passed away Friday August 8, 2014 in Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center. He was born February 9, 1923 in Waynesburg, OH to the late Arthur and Mamie (Baker) Reed. Harry was a life resident of the Waynesburg and East Canton area and was a WWII Army veteran where he served 3and ½ years in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Crescent Brick Company in 1988 after 40 years of service. Harry was a member of Canton Grace Brethren Church where he served as an usher for 50 years. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Harvey and Paul Reed. He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. (Himes) to whom he was married 65 years; one sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Ray Ring; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Reed and Betty Reed; two special nephews, Richard (Annie) Reed and Greg (Diane) Reed; special niece, Virginia (Mike) Barthel; numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday August 11, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery.
