Harold T Smith

Harold T. Smith, Jr., age 78, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022.

Tom was born January 30, 1944, in Sugarcreek, Ohio, to the late Harold, Sr. and Ida Smith.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Smith; sister, Lois (Smith) Woodward; and stepson, John McCune.

He is survived by his sister, Sheryl (Paul) Westland; stepdaughters, Jeanie Hayes and Rena McCune; stepson Don McCune; and very special grandson, Christopher Hayes, who shared Tom’s love for storm chasing.

Tom served in the U.S. Navy for four years and proudly wore his Navy cap, showing love for his country.  Tom worked for Marathon Oil Refinery and after retirement, moved to the sunshine state of Florida where he has resided for the past 10 years.

A graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot, Ohio.
