Harold L. Smallwood Sr.
Age 91, of Hartville, passed away Saturday June 22, 2013 in Aultman Compassionate Care. He was born February 4, 1922 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Roy and Grace (Wade) Smallwood. Harold was a Carrollton area resident for 30 years and retired from Babcock and Wilcox in 1985 after 30 years of service. He was a WWII Navy Veteran where he served aboard the USS Iowa and was a member of American Legion Post #44. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Ted Humphrey of East Canton, Pamela and Steve Nauss of Hartville; one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Marie Smallwood Jr. of Louisville; six grandchildren, Pamela Bittaker, Sheila Petree, James and Doug Smallwood, Renee Nauss and Dan Nauss; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Meredith Hughes. A Memorial Service will be Saturday June 29, 2013 at 3:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Kip Smith officiating.
