Harold Kocher
Age 92, of Alliance, passed away Saturday May 7, 2011 in Aultman Hospital. He was born January 29, 1919 in Powhatan Point, OH to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Martin) Kocher. Harold was an Alliance area resident for more than eight years, prior to which he had resided in Louisville. Harold was a WWII Army veteran and retired from LTV Steel in 1981 after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Louisville Church of Christ where he formerly served as a Deacon, Bible study teacher and was active with the Radiant Retirees. He had formerly served as an Elder at the Hanoverton Church of Christ and was a member of the North Industry Sportsmen's Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Richard Kocher; one son-in-law, Jack Taberner; one grandson, Kelly Morrison; two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Lenora (Kanzigg) to whom he was married 68 years; four children and spouses, Joyce and Herbert Wright of Washington, WV, Carol and Kenneth Morrison of Carrollton, Roger and Carol Kocher of Louisville, Sharon and Ralph Fluharty of Alliance; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 11:00am in the Louisville Church of Christ located at 1250 California Ave, Louisville, OH 44641 with Brian Grubbs officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8pm at Louisville Church of Christ and one hour before services on Wednesday (10-11am).
