Harold E. Brumby
Age 88, of Canton died Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Select Specialty Hospital following a brief illness. Born September 13, 1921 in Kipton, OH. to the late Fred H. and Mildred M. (Morgan) Brumby. He was a Canton Township resident for 64 years and retired from AmeriGas – Propane in 1985 after 44 years in the industry. Harold was a member of Moreland Christian Church where he had served as an Elder and Deacon. He also was a member of the Canton South Rotary, a board member of Canton Local Schools for 14 years, and active in the Canton South Advanced Education Foundation for 40 years. In addition to parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. Brumby in 2009; two brothers, Robert M. Brumby and Stanley D. Brumby; one sister, Margaret L. Whitney. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Hal D. and Carla Brumby of Kent, OH.; one daughter and son-in-law, Faye R. and Thomas Hollinger of St. Albans, WV.; five grandchildren, Cara (Steve) Setchell of Greencastle, IN., Jennifer (Jon) Marshall of Centerville, OH., Adam Brumby of Ft. Meyers, FL., Jordan Hollinger of Wilmore, KY., Jared Hollinger of St. Albans, WV.; one sister-in-law, Janet Brumby of Las Vegas, NV. Memorial services will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 1:00 pm in Moreland Christian Church, 2850 Waynesburg Dr. S.E., Canton, OH. 44707, with Gene Carter officiating. Inurnment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday (Tonight) from 6-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
