H. Doug Adey
Age 74, of Canton passed away Monday February 24, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Herbert O. and Dorothy (Smith) Adey. Doug was a Canton area resident for the past 35 years and was formerly employed as an auto mechanic. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Dale I. Adey in 1974. He is survived by four children, Albert and Ginger Adey of Eustis, Fl., Dorothy Rainey of Eustis, Fl., Tricia and Steve Vining of Leland, MS., Thomas and Kimberly Adey of Carrollton, OH; three step-children, Jeff Wahl of N. Canton, Lisa and Jeff Yeary of N. Canton, Debbie Scheetz of Louisville, Ky.; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Sallie Garvey of West Palm Beach, FL., James and Pepita Garvey of Lake Stevens, WA; three sisters, Joanne and Thomas Balme of Coeur d' Alene, ID., Cathy Garvey of Whittier, CA., Maryanne Parker of Hughson, CA.; his former wife, Ruth Ann Floore of Louisville, KY. In keeping with Doug's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be conducted at a later date.
