Grace M. Posey
Grace M. Posey, age 92, of Louisville, died Thursday March 8, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. She was born December 15, 1914 in Canton, to the late Perry A. and Matilda (Terret) Miller. Grace was a 1932 graduate of McKinley High School and was formerly employed by Acme, Fishers Foods and the Hoover Company during WWII. She truly enjoyed playing cards at Mayfield and Massillon Senior Centers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Posey; two brothers, Victor and Roy Miller; one sister, Viola Newton; a son-in-law, Donnie C. Gates Sr; a great grandson, Greg Desper Jr. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. and Anne Posey of North Canton; one daughter, Joan Gates of Louisville; six grandchildren and spouses, Richard P. Jr. and Karen Posey, Jan M. and Kevin Kendle, Donnie C. Jr. and Patti Gates, Vickie and Greg Desper, Kimberly and Roger Burkhardt, Lisa A. Grimes; 12 great grandchildren, Richard Posey, Nicholas and Matthew Kendle, Amber Grimes, Donnie III, Jodi, Kevin and Keeley Desper, Kaurie, Chris and Carey Burkhardt; four great-great grandchildren, Greg Desper III, Andrew and Kiara McCellan, Kevin Desper Jr; brother-in-law, Ralph Posey of Lantana, FL; one niece, Delores Beiner. Funeral services will be Monday March 12, 2007 at 11:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
