Goldie M. Boughman
Goldie M. Boughman, age 87, of Navarre, died Wednesday May 9, 2007. She was born July 3, 1919 in Canton Township to the late John C. and Iva M. (Haverstock) Gerber. Goldie was a 1937 graduate of Canton Township High School and a life resident of Stark County. She and her husband, Russell farmed in the Navarre area after their marriage in 1939. She was a charter member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, charter member of the Bula Circle and an active member of the United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Boughman in 2002; four brothers, Dwight, Lester, Wilbur and Joe Gerber; two infant sisters, Merle and Bernice Gerber; two sisters, Marie Grosenbaugh and Elsie Faye Steenrod. She is survived by five children, Lavonne Boughman of Farmington Hills, MI, Jo Ann Thompson of Magnolia, Margery (Jack) Turske of Galena, OH, Larry (Judy) Boughman of Bolivar, Robert (Vicki) Boughman of Navarre; 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Wharton, Gladys Stallman and Thelma Shulty all of Canton. Funeral services will be Saturday May 12, 2007 at 10am in Otterbein United Methodist Church with Pastor Phil Raynes and Rev. Paul Gerycz officiating. Interment in Eden Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 6-9pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services at the church (9-10am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Otterbein UMC at 6025 Shepler Church Rd SW, Navarre, OH. 44662 or Hospice of Stark County at 3611 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, OH. 44718.
