Glenna C. Covell
Age 89, of Canton, passed away Monday February 15, 2016 in McKinley Health Care Center. She was born June 22, 1926 in Canton to the late Harry A. and Lena C. (Baumgartner) Heaston. Glenna retired from the Ben Heggy’s Candy Company in 1990 after 30 years of service and had worked at the Timken Roller Bearing Company during World War II. Glenna attended First Church of the Nazarene in Canton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman G. Covell in 2005; two brothers, Robert and Thomas Heaston; two sisters, Wilma Gorey and Dorothy Byers. She is survived by one sister, Normadean Dickinson; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Ronda Heaston; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Garfield Wing at McKinley Health Care Center and Great Lakes Hospice for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the First Church of the Nazarene, 522 – 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709, with Rev. Dan Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church on Thursday from 12:00-1:00 pm.
