Glenn Robert Harris
Glenn Robert Harris, age 69, of Louisville, died Tuesday December 19, 2006 in Arbors at Canton following a brief illness. He was a born July 23, 1937 in Bethesda, OH to Lloyd B. and Martha V. (McEndree) Harris. Glenn was a 1955 graduate of East Canton High School, retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps in 1985 after 29 years of service. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was awarded one Silver Star and three Bronze Stars. He was a member of the VFW Post #3747, the "Cooties" and the DAV, St. Mihiel Chapter #6. Glenn was a Louisville resident since 1994. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd B. Harris; step-father, Dwight W. Clapper; and one son. He is survived by his mother, Martha V. Clapper of Louisville; one daughter and three sons; four sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be Friday December 22, 2006 at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment with military honors in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. Friends may call one hour before services on Friday (9-10am) in the funeral home.
