Gladys N. Stallman
age 92, of Canton, passed away Sunday March 28, 2010 in the Sterling House of Canton following a brief illness. She was born December 24, 1917 in Canton to the late John and Iva (Haverstock) Gerber. Gladys was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1935 graduate of Canton Township High School. She retired from W.C. Griffith and Sons after many years of service. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and active with the Iva Gerber Circle. Gladys and her late husband were members of the Cabin Cruisers Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray D. Stallman in 2004; five sisters, Marie Grosenbaugh, Goldie Boughman, Elsie Faye Steenrod, two infant sisters, Merl and Bernice Gerber; four brothers, Dwight, Lester, Wilbur and Joe Gerber. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Linda Stallman of East Sparta; one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Frank Blake of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Josette (Kenny) Egnot, Dr. Steve (Susan) Weaver, Scott (Julie) Stallman, Shawn (Glenda) Stallman; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Wharton and Thelma Shulty; two sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be Thursday April 1, 2010 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Gerycz officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
