Gladys L. Slicker
Age 81, of East Canton, passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 in Altercare of Louisville. She was born December 30, 1934 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to the late Frederick and Effie (Teeple) Roberts. She was an East Canton resident for the past 29 years, prior to which she had resided in the Canton and Massillon area for 31 years. She was a member of Paradise United Methodist Church of Christ, Louisville and the Ohio Angus Association. She is also preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Gladys is survived by her husband, Richard G. Slicker to whom she was married 29 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Monica Hawkins; one daughter, Tiffany Slingluff; step-son, Glenn Slicker; step-daughter and her husband, Sandy and Todd Jones; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday May 2, 2016 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Kathy Arble officiating. Burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery.
